About

Our choice of colour in the restaurant represents our cultural background and the name represents its synthesis. 1 Lao, 1 Breton, 1 baby girl growing fast.

The blue is the colour called 'Glazik' in Brittany, the colour of the element that surrounds us, that made us travel the world aboard ships, the sea, the ocean, the Channel and the Atlantic.

The orange suggests the colour of the Buddhist faith as seen on the monks garments and marigold flowers used for ceremonial times.

The name of the restaurant is our daughter's, Youna; From Breton to French meaning Yvette and deconstructed into Lao meaning 'in the rice field'. This place is our little Mandala, our representation in some ways, the completion of our beings as a united, mutually protective and caring family. A metaphor of symbols reflecting unity.
